Pete Donohue pitched a complete game at Redland Field as the Cincinnati Reds
beat the Pittsburgh Pirates 4 to 3.

Cincinnati came up with the deciding runs in the 8th inning with 2 runs
utilizing 2 base hits. After two were out Sam Bohne began the rally when he
reached on an error. Jake Daubert was next and he tripled. Edd Roush then
was walked intentionally. George Harper stepped in and he drew a walk to
load the bases. Rube Bressler stepped into the box and laced a base-knock.
Pittsburgh made it exciting in the 9th, but they were unable to push the
needed runs across.

Donohue(1-0) finished the game allowing 3 runs in the victory. Johnny
Morrison(0-1) was given the loss. He allowed 4 runs and 6 hits in 7 and 2/3
innings.
